in 2003, C.W. Clark was selected to build a seven-story, 196-room full-service luxury Marriott hotel on 1.3 acres in downtown Escondido. The estimated $56 million hotel will include a 120-seat restaurant, lobby/lounge, two meeting rooms and 209 subterranean parking spaces. The project also calls for renovation of the existing 25,000-square-foot conference center at the adjacent California Center for the Arts, Escondido. The hotel and conference center will attract conventions and visitors to the area and generate $1.3 million annually in sales, occupancy and property taxes.

Start of construction in early 2008 with a completion date in the Fall of 2009.
